Distinguished and Famous people from Boronia
Boronia's community achievements include recognised volunteer leadership. A local fire brigade captain's contribution shows that distinction can lie in how a team is supported, as well as in the emergencies it attends.
🚒 Ramon Relph
Ramon Relph was named the 2022 Spirit of CFA Inclusion and Fairness Champion for his leadership at Boronia Fire Brigade. In its account of the award, CFA described his emphasis on equal treatment, listening to members and making the brigade welcoming to people with different backgrounds. He encouraged team members to put forward their views during training and meetings, and treated their families' wellbeing as part of brigade life. His work also included supporting the recruitment of women into operational roles. It is a documented local contribution to the people who make a volunteer emergency service function.
